At 58 years old, Mike Tyson will be facing a young boxer who is currently in his prime despite not being considered a professional. Tyson himself recently went on Fox News to talk about his training camp and how this will be treated as a real boxing match. Despite the event not being sanctioned as a professional fight, the same rules as if that was the case will be applied. Once the two of them get on that ring, only fate will dictate what will happen to either of them.

The dangers of Mike Tyson fighting at his age are pretty straight forward. Any person who is past 50 years old should be extremely careful to not suffer any blows in the head. Let alone getting punched in the face repeatedly. Professional forensic experts have already weighed into this topic and they all conclude that Mike Tyson’s life is in real danger. British boxer Dave Allen said the following on talkSPORT: “As far as the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight goes, I think it’s dangerous. Mike Tyson is one of the greatest heavyweights that ever lived but at 58 years of age, he shouldn’t be getting hit. Jake Paul is a young man, he’s in shape, and he’s ended up being a half-decent professional boxing prospect. So for me it’s dangerous and it shouldn’t be happening.”

There are only a couple of reason Mike Tyson would pull out of this event before July 20th. Perhaps the most obvious one is any type of serious injury Tyson suffers during the training camp leading up to this event. That would be the main reason he would probably pull out. Other potential reasons are a personal matter or another type of medical condition Tyson would suffer near the date of the vent. But for now, both sides seem determined to get inside that ring and prove the world wrong. Tyson did seem fed up with so many people telling him how old he is.
