But Serena Williams looks to be thriving off the court as she took to Instagram on Thursday afternoon to share a poolside snapshot
The 39-year-old tennis star wowed in a blue snakeskin one piece that highlighted her enviably trim waistline.
‘Summer blues,’ captioned Williams, who credited photographer Ronald Wayne for capturing the stunning shot.
Her lengthy brunette hair was worn down and styled in beachy waves, while her face appeared to be sporting minimal makeup.
Williams posed with her arms above her head and her hands clenched onto a semi-sheer swimsuit coverup that blew around in the wind.
Resting in the backdrop were several palm trees, as well as the ocean view from Serena’s pool.
When she isn’t basking in the sun by the pool, Williams is busy hanging out with her darling daughter Alexis Olympia.
She shares the three-year-old with husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, 38. The couple have been married since 2017.

Though she appears to be enjoying her time off, Serena was understandably disappointed in late June when she took to Instagram to remark on having to withdraw from Wimbledon.
‘I was heartbroken to have to withdraw today after injuring my right leg,’ she wrote to her 13.4million followers, alongside a photo of herself at the match.
Serena had been hoping to claim a record-equaling 24th grand slam title at the tournament in London.
‘My love and gratitude are with the fans and the team who make being on centre court so meaningful.’

The mother-of-one, who slipped during the sixth game of her first-round match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, did not share any other details about her injury – nor did she reveal whether it might prevent her from taking part in the upcoming US Open, which is due to begin on August 30.
However, she did praise the crowds at Wimbledon, who cheered her on as she returned to the court following a 10-minute break, during which she received medical treatment, thanking them for showing her such ‘extraordinary warmth’.
‘Feeling the extraordinary warmth and support of the crowd today when I walked on – and off – the court meant the world to me,’ she added.
