According to Football Insider, Liverpool are considering a move for PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko if Mohamed Salah leaves.
Egyptian superstar Salah has emerged as the latest major name coveted by Saudi Arabian teams, and Liverpool is preparing contingency plans to discover potential replacements.
Belgian ace Bakayoko is definitely on their radar after impressing for club and country in the last year.
Bakayoko, 20, plays the same position as Salah (right-sided inverted winger) and is regarded as one of Europe’s most promising talents.
Last season, the winger scored nine goals and supplied six assists in 39 games for PSV, and he has already excelled this season with two assists in their recent Champions League qualifying win against Sturm Graz.
Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli have been linked with Bakayoko, and Liverpool has now added the attacker to their list of goals as they prepare for the prospect of Salah leaving Anfield in the future.
Salah’s agent, Ramy Abass, recently took to Twitter (7 August) to confirm the winger’s “commitment” to Liverpool.
The 31-year-old Anfield icon has a deal until June 2025.

Bakayoko might be the Egypt international’s successor at Liverpool as he progresses through the Eredivisie.
The 20-year-old made his senior Belgium debut in March, scoring his first goal in his fourth match, a qualifying victory against Estonia on June 20.
Bakayoko, who came up through the youth ranks at Leuven, Club Brugge, and Anderlecht, is under contract with PSV until June 2026.
He scored 20 goals in 55 games for the Dutch club’s youth system before making his professional debut last season.
