Make-up free Emma Watson looks at apartments ‘in Manhattan building with condos worth up to $15.5 million’
Emma Watson made sure she had comfy shoes on her feet on Monday as she pounded the pavements of New York in search of a new apartment.
The 23-year-old British actress is on the hunt for new digs in Manhattan, and reportedly checked out one building on the Upper East Side.
The brand new condominium building currently has nine apartments available, including the penthouse with an asking price of $15.5 million.
According to The New York Daily News, the top floor condo comes with four en-suite bedrooms with walk-in closets, a large living and dining room, kitchen, pantry and office for the owner to enjoy.
The block was built in 1912, with the exterior unchanged since its completion 100 years ago, but it underwent a renovation in 2012 to dramatically change the entry, lobby, amenities and shared areas to incorporate modern design to the historic architecture.
The building comes with 24-hour white glove service, a fitness centre, children’s playroom, and a multi-purpose function room for meetings, parties or movie screenings.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Emma has amᴀssed a $50 (£30.1) million fortune, having received a $15 (£9) million paycheck each for the Deathly Harrows Part One and Part Two, as well as landing lucrative modelling deals for Chanel, Lancôme and Burberry.
It’s no wonder then that Emma might be willing to splash the cash on one of the luxury condos, and move out of her current apartment which bares the reminders of her ex-boyfriend of two years Will Adamowicz.
He was reportedly waiting for the Harry Potter star outside her current block on Monday, according to onlookers.
Emma Watson is now dating Oxford University student, Matthew Janney, who is studying modern and medieval languages at Oriel College.
The two jetted off to the Caribbean this Christmas for a romantic break ahead of the Golden Globes where she co-presented an award with Chris Pine, in a Christian Dior dress.
No doubt her new beau will be joining Emma at some point in her new place, and judging by the happy look on Emma’s make-up free face, she was impressed with some of the places her estate agent had shown her.
The actress wore a black coat with a tartan scarf, jeans and white plimsolls for the day of house-hunting, but changed into a trench coat, black roll-neck jumper, turned up jeans and loafers to catch a flight out of New York, at JFK airport the following day.
She was heading back to London so she could try her luck at being a magazine editor.
Emma was invited to guest-edit the February issue, for which she is also its cover star, having taken part in a pH๏τo shoot with fellow actor and Noah co-star, Douglas Booth, last year.
On Wednesday she tweeted about the experience to her nearly 12 million followers.
