Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold Scores Spectacular Goal in England’s Win Against Bosnia P.3

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been praised by fans for his magnificent volley in England’s 3-0 victory over Bosnia, with some thinking he has made a strong case to start at the Euros later this month.

On Monday night, the Liverpool star scored his third goal for the national team with a fantastic strike from a tight angle. His goal doubled Gareth Southgate’s side’s lead at St James’ Park, following Cole Palmer’s opener on the hour.

Harry Kane came off the bench to score his 63rd international goal on his 90th cap, but it was the Liverpool defender, making his sixth consecutive appearance for England in midfield, who stole the show.

The 25-year-old found space on the right flank and blasted a precise shot following a clever cross from Jack Grealish.

‘The technique for that. Trent scored a fantastic goal. Outrageous.’ I wrote to a fan on X, formerly Twitter.

Fans have praised Liverpool’s best player for his spectacular volley against Bosnia on Monday night.

Another added, “That’s a lovely finish.” A third commented, ‘Trent Alexander-Arnold makes it 2-0 for England with an unbelievable finish. This player can play multiple positions, including RB and CM. “What a goal to seal the match.”

To add to the mystery of Alexander-Arnold’s performance, his goal came after he was shifted to his more familiar right-back position following England manager Gareth Southgate’s flurry of substitutions.

The Reds player appears to be one of several players pushing for a midfield spot with Declan Rice at the European Championships.

Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, who started with him on Monday night, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, and his Liverpool teammate Curtis Jones are also in the running.

Crystal Palace teenager Adam Wharton, who made his England debut, is another player being examined, while Premier League Player of the Year Phil Foden is also capable of playing in a deeper midfield position.

Alexander-Arnold improved his chances of making the final 26-man squad, or maybe the starting XI, for the Three Lions tournament opening on June 16, although fans still believe his best position is in defence.

‘What a finish, Trent! He appears to be a better right back for us than a midfielder. Been much more involved and scored a goal!’

Alexander-Arnold was praised for his overall display, though there was still some debate on what he best position is for England

Another commented on his whole performance, writing, “Trent Alexander-Arnold capping off what has been an excellent performance with a very tidy goal.” Some of these auditions were for starting positions.

Following the victory, Southgate conceded that he faced some ‘tough decisions’ ahead of the seven-man cut on Friday.

The 25-year-old began his six consecutive appearances for England in midfield before switching to right-back after the hour mark.

Gareth Southgate, who must cut seven players from his provisional squad by June 7, admitted that he had difficult decisions to make

Alexander-Arnold was commended for his entire performance, while there is still some discussion over what his best position is for England.

Gareth Southgate faced difficult decisions to eliminate seven players from his provisional team on June 7. So we give it the respect and consideration it requires to make fair, correct decisions.

Of course, it will always be subjective, and we must balance what we require in every section of the pitch, which adds to the complexity.

‘It is not only about bringing in the best people; there is also a positional aspect to it. But we have extremely strong choices, and we got through the game without any physical problems.’
