Instead, the award was officially given to Killer Mike for his track Scientists & Engineers, featuring André 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane.

The initial congratulatory tweet for Minaj and Ice Spice was deleted by the Academy’s X account, sparking outrage among fans.

Reports confirmed Killer Mike as the rightful winner, leaving Minaj to face her 12th nomination without a win.

She also lost in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category to Billie Eilish and FINNEAS.
