With Sally’s drama unfolding, Chelsea is still processing Adam’s
latest request: he wants Sally to fill in for Chelsea at Marchetti
while she takes a much-needed break to focus on Connor and
herself. Although it seems like a solid plan, Chelsea is concerned
about Sally’s rocky history with Summer. Will Summer even
approve of Sally taking the reins? She just might.
Speaking of Summer, she has her own issues to handle. She is finally warming up to Claire, who has had a fair share of troubles. Despite Claire’s dodgy past, Summer is starting to see that she genuinely makes Harrison happy. After the whole Jordan drama, Harrison has been super stressed, but he seems calmer around Claire, making Summer reconsider her stance. However, it’s wise to be cautious because Jordan is still alive, contrary to what Victor said.
Summer is set to have a long-awaited conversation with Claire, laying her cards on the table and expressing her concerns but willing to give Claire a shot for Harrison’s sake. Claire vows not to let her down, and it looks like they might strike a deal. But there’s a feeling that Claire’s promise could foreshadow an ominous future.
In another part of town, Diane is seriously worried about Jack’s sobriety, fearing he might relapse. Just when she thinks things couldn’t get more complicated, Nikki, fresh from a rehab stint that Diane believes was too short, crosses her path. Diane is concerned that Nikki might drag Jack down if she stumbles. Jack had given his all to support Nikki, and her hasty return from rehab raises doubts about her recovery.
Back to Chelsea and Adam: if Chelsea can get Summer on board with the Sally idea, we might see a new job offer headed Sally’s way. The timing is perfect with Summer softening up about Claire. This could be a turning point for Sally at Marchetti, and she really needs a new beginning.
As for Harrison, he may want to be around Claire more once Jordan’s survival is revealed, but the psychology behind Claire and Harrison’s relationship seems a bit off. Nothing wrong with liking someone, but there might be underlying issues.
