Liverpool took on Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium earlier tonight in an attempt to win the UEFA Europa League away from home. Mohamed Salah’s penalty kick put the Reds ahead in the seventh minute, capping a respectable opening to the match. The team coached by Jurgen Klopp won 1-0 at the interval after playing excellent game management.
The Merseyside team barely managed to win 1-0 away from home after a dismal second half. The Reds were eliminated from the Europa League as a result of their 3-1 loss in the tie.

Jones put a lot of effort into maintaining possession, but it never seemed like he would score.

Salah scored his penalty with poise, but he blew a fantastic opportunity to double his goal total.
