Chelsea Youngster Impresses: Tony Cascarino Highlights ‘Real Arrogance’ in His Playing Style P.3

Tony Cascarino claims he’s seen an arrogance in one Chelsea player this season that he absolutely loves.

Chelsea’s campaign has turned out to be a really disappointing one so far. In fact, they face the prospect of missing out on European football for a second straight year if they don’t salvage things in the next two months.

Thankfully, at least a few Blues individuals have given supporters a reason to cheer.

Cole Palmer, who only moved to Stamford Bridge last summer from Manchester City, is putting up a remarkable debut season in West London.

The 21-year-old attacking playmaker has 19 goals and 13 assists in 37 Chelsea matches so far.

Tony Cascarino is a huge fan of the attitude he’s seeing from Chelsea’s Palmer on a football pitch.

In fairness, the youngster has walked into a club all over the place right now and consistently delivered magic.

“Palmer is brimming with confidence and has a real arrogance about him, but in a good way,” Cascarino wrote for The Times.

“Just look at that Panenka penalty he scored recently against Burnley. It also takes a lot of strong-mindedness to leave City at the age of 21 because you want to be playing more often.

“He’s been a shining light for Chelsea in a poor season for the club — he’s surprised nearly everyone with how well he has done.”

Palmer form going into Everton

While Chelsea’s defence is nowhere to be seen, the Blues are actually a serious threat going forward right now. Palmer is the integral figure leading that charge, too.

He’s at least scored or assisted in the previous five consecutive Premier League matches.

Next, the Blues host Everton on Monday night in the league.
