However, soapy twists are the norm on daytime dramas, so there’s the potential for Martin to have one more trick up his sleeve.

Is Alan’s evil twin really gone for good or could he come back to wreak more havoc?

On social media, some fans have speculated that Martin might’ve swapped clothes again with Alan in a hurry.

It doesn’t seem like there was enough time, but stranger things have happened on the CBS soap!

What if Martin saw that Alan was deceased from the fall and rushed to change outfits so that everyone would think Alan was the surviving twin instead?

In other words, what if the man who we now believe to be Alan is actually Martin?

Alan and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) seem to have a new romance cooking up, but what if it’s Martin who’s pulling her closer?

That could be a game-changer and put Traci in real danger as this storyline moves along.

On the other hand, it’s also possible that Martin faked his demise with the help of some connections he had.

There might’ve been some deception when it came to confirmation on Martin’s passing if a shady coroner and other key players were involved.

In that case, perhaps Alan is really Alan for now, but it may not be long until Martin recovers and makes yet another switch.

With Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) off at a private clinic for treatment, it could be Traci who becomes the center of Martin’s attention and his next target.

Of course, this may be a situation where Y&R has officially closed the door on all the Martin mayhem, but the idea of him rising from the grave for one last reign of terror is interesting to think about.
