Shaquille O’Neal wins in life, said Draymond Green in the latest episode of his podcast. In many ways this is true. After winning 4 NBA championships and entering the Hall of Fame, Shaq explored the business world to leave a permanent imprint of genius. Accumulating a net worth of $450 million, Big Diesel has launched numerous businesses aimed at bridging the gap between the rich and poor while helping the country develop. But this journey required motivation and drive which he found in a feeling of jealousy.
On the podcast, the Hall of Famer was asked about a business deal he made with Authentic Brand Groups. Draymond revealed that people introduced him to ABG as “This is who Shaq just partnered with, not who Shaq just sold his business to.” This statement piqued the curiosity of the Warriors star. He wondered why Shaq had joined the company, instead of taking all the money. Following this, Shaq walked him through the trade process and claimed he was jealous of LeBron James.
For a very long time, Shaq has found his motivation in jealousy. He said he was jealous of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson because he wanted to play like them. “I’m jealous of Bron (James). He’s almost a billionaire and I’m not. he added. When an individual is jealous, it’s easier to hate – well, that’s just a human tendency. But, for Shaquille O’Neal, everything is different. He treated and converted the feeling of jealousy into a positive feeling. He said, “Instead of taking that with jealousy and turning it into hatred, it turns into motivation.” So what did Shaq do with this motivation that helped him not hate LeBron?

That’s what Authentic Brand Group offered him and in return, Shaq asked him if he could invest in ABG. “They wrote me a big check, I wrote them a big check…basically it just makes sure my name lives forever,” » he added – thus clarifying Draymond’s question.
